
Joshua is portrayed as a bold and fearless leader, one who was confident in the certainty of God’s promises, obedient to divine direction and determined to serve God in faithfulness.
Joshua was the son of Nun; an Ephramite who ministered to Moses and later appointed as Moses” successor (Ex 33:11; Deut. 34:9; Jos. 1:1,2) This Bible book provides a vital link in the history of the Israelites and showing the fulfillment of God’s promises to the Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This book provides a clipping of the early activities of Joshua with Moses from the books of Exodus and Numbers.
It tells of the conquest of Canaan, followed by the distribution of the land to the Israelites and concludes with Joshua encouraging faithfulness to God as he diminish in age. v
